Inaccurate career info
[edit]The ship was scrapped several years prior to 1789, when the US came into being. It is, as such, impossible for it to be a US vessel.
- The United States came into being in 1776 ("The Unamimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America," July 4 of that year). It was recognized by France in 1778, and Great Britain in 1783. You're thinking of the coming into force of the 1787 Constitution with the inauguration of George Washington as president.
